Actually it is not possible for one to make Krsna do anything. According to all Vedic authorities Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead (See Bhagavad Gita - As it is by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada). Krsna is independent and acts independently. However, he may play a role that appears to be subservient to another. It is in this case, that he is submitting to his loving devotee where Krsna is only controlled by pure bhakti or devotional love. Therefore, Krsna desired to please his devotees by vacating Mathura.

∙ 7y agoIt was Jarasandha, who made Lord Krishna to quit Mathura and go to Dwaraka. The story goes like this. Lord Krishna killed Kansa. Kansa was son in law of Jarasandha. Jarasandha attacked Mathura 17 times. He was defeated by Lord Krishna. Then Jarasandha invited Kalyavana. This Kalyavana was killed by Lord Krishna tactfully. The army of Lord Krishna was tired as the war with Kalyavana was over. At this moment the Jarasandha attacked Mathura. So Lord Krishna has to abandon the Mathura and had to go to Dwaraka. That move was too human. Whenever God takes birth on the earth, He behaves as a common man only. Subsequently Lord Krishna managed to kill the Jarasandha.
