John Adams was born on October 30, 1735 and died on July 4, 1826 (same day that Thomas Jefferson died). John Adams is thought to have died of debility (old age; most likely heart failure caused by arteriosclerosis). He was, after all, almost 91 years of age at his death - an astonishingly old man for that period in history.
