In Egypt there would be no life if there wasn't the Nile to bring in water and silt or rich soil for planting. Like the Tigris and Euphrates the Nile also floods annually. They didn't normally have to worry about flash floods since Egypt is normally so dry. If there was a dry year it would cause a famine due to the naturally dusty and sandy weather. Also, since Egypt is generally close to the equator it gets extremely hot and since there isn't a wet source of water besides the Nile any other center area of Egypt is sandy and dry. Egyptians could travel up and down the Nile, Nubia and Egypt was joined together. Even before that, they were able to trade with each other without having a motor or having to travel through the harsh weather of the desert. They used the flow of the river to go downstream and set up a sail for the wind to take them upstream. That is how climate and geography affected Egypt.

Geography played a significant role in shaping the movement of people in ancient Egypt. The presence of the Nile River, which provided water, fertile soil, and transportation, allowed people to settle and thrive along its banks. The surrounding deserts served as natural barriers, protecting Egypt from invasions and creating a relatively isolated environment. Overall, the geography of ancient Egypt influenced the patterns of settlement, the development of trade routes, and the relative stability of the civilization.
