A bunch of white guys tried to play Rhythm and Blues in the very early Fifties. They kept throwing in Country riffs, and it came out really funny. The result was rock 'n roll, and the rest is history. Also, Chuck Berry deliberately played R&B like a hillbilly to get a wider audience.

∙ 12y agoBecause whatever higher power you believe in created it and blessed man with it. The only reason it's not around much anymore is because of the blasphemous record company, who replaced it with this modern garbage music.

To be more specific, Cleveland, Ohio. That's where Alan Freed had the first rock 'n roll radio show ever in 1951. That's why the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame is there.
