Of course they drowned. It even says it in The Bible. ( Exodus 14:15-31 )

After the 10 plagues, the Egyptians allowed the Israelites to leave Egypt. As the Israelites left, Pharaoh changed his mind and pursued them, leading to the parting of the Red Sea and the drowning of Pharaoh's army. This event marked the end of the Israelites' enslavement in Egypt.
Moses crossing the Red Sea was a miraculous event where God parted the waters for the Israelites to pass through on dry land, while Joshua crossing the Jordan River involved the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant to stop the flow of the river, allowing the Israelites to cross on dry ground. The crossings symbolize God's power and presence with the Israelites in their journey to the Promised Land.
If you are referring to the nation of Israel in the Exodus then two. The first was the Red Sea on the way out of Egypt and the second was the Jordan River (then in flood) when they entered the promised land of Canaan. Of course, to be strict, it would be more correct that they went 'through' the water on dry land as the accounts reveal. They thus did not cross them as bodies of water are normally crossed by boat or bridge or ferry. If you are referring to Jacob, later named Israel, he may have crossed a number in his travels but the only one recorded is when he crossed the Jabbok, although it also mentions a ford and so this may also not have involved crossing actual water. (See Genesis 32:22-23)
