Therefor there is now far more uranium down inside the solid nickel-iron core than there is in all the crust of the earth. The radioactive decay of this uranium in the core and mantle keeps them hot and drives all the volcanoes, hot springs, plate tectonics, etc. happening on the surface of the earth.
