millions did not survived the torture of the Holocaust. The ones who survived the most were saved by the alied forces wich were only skin and bones persons nearly death.
Most of us are too young to remember the victims, all that we can do is learn about what happened.
It is almost impossible to gauge how many learned how much, obviously those who were able to learn more stood a better chance of surviving.
tworeasons we should learn about the holocaust

He believed that forgetting the Holocaust would be a betrayal of those who suffered and died, and a missed opportunity to learn from history.

Kids should learn about the Holocaust when they are in 5th or 6th grade, they should be able to understand everything and not be exposed to too much inappropriate things about the Holocaust at a young age.
Obviously, nothing drastic would happen to you if you didn't learn about the Holocaust. I'd prefer to look at the issue from this point of view: What do you gain from learning about the Holocaust? *You learn that within the memory of many older people, an appalling crime was committed against the Jews - and others. *You learn - I hope - that despite the view that human beings should never do anything of the sort again, there have been mass killings on a huge scalesince 1945, and even genocide in Rwanda in 1994. *You learn something about man's inhumanity to man. *You learn that evil is potentially boundless. *You also learn something about human resilience from the accounts of survivors and aboutcourage from accounts of those who helped victims. You should be able to add to this list. Joncey
