Since the Americans won that battle that means that they are proud that they are winning and want to keep trying hard and try to surprise the British when they come again and it worked and they want a free country!

The victory at Trenton effected Americans in several ways. The victory here , December 26, 1776 not only boosted morale after a series of defeats, it captured almost the entire Hessian force, and boosted new enlistments, and encouraged those whose enlistments were up to stay on and fight.

It affected the Americans because the Green Mountain Boys stole cannons from the British and brought them back to George Washington. Washington thought of the idea to put the cannons on a hill that faced Boston. Once the British saw the cannons on top of the hill they immediately retreated Boston.
