They wore Jewellery because it was very fashionable in those days, and if you did wear them in the viking times, you would be part of a 'gang' or a 'team' anything really.. You would be cool and everyone would know you.... If you didn't wear it you would just be some sort of dull and dorky person.. But it was simply your choice... Because lots of people didn't wear it and what did they care!! Vikings jewellery was very pretty and glamorous in those days!! It also proved that you were rich..
