His influence upon the Harlem Renaissance was through the economic and social promotion of Arts. This means they could establish and define African Americans a civil and cultural segement of U.S. Society therfore a push towards equality and civil rights during a time of segregation.

Under there segregation created a mass cultural unique Artistic mediums promoted as a new industry opportunity (Jazz, Literature and the vehichles of business) displaying value and enrichment into non-africain communities but an american benefitual culture as well.
