There are multiple answers depending on your beliefs.

If you believe the evolution theory then you became from the primordial soup, and are nothing more than an improved primate, a monkey-like creature.

If you believe God created the world, than you are no primate or an accident, but are created and deeply loved by God.

In Psalm 139:15,16 "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

Of course people have other answers like : "we become from aliens". However only one answer can be true. I think the best way to find out which one is true, is not to try to prove any of them, but to eliminate the ones witch are wrong. Then you will have only one answer remaining : the true one.

Today, in post modernism, most people realize that science does not have the answer for everything, so they turn there interests on religion.

There are flaws in each theory like the "missing link" in the evolution theory, witch means that this theory remains a theory, and not an definitive and true answer. But nobody was able to prove wrong the creation theory. In fact, many people who decided to prove that The Bible is wrong, ended up great Christians and are now spreading the word of God.
