The wreck of HMS Titanic was found several years ago, about a mile beneath the surface, in the northern Atlantic. It has been visited many times by divers in special submersible craft. A few years ago, the last Survivor of the disaster was taken down to see it. She was an infant at the time, and has since died. The wreck is in bad condition and is deteriorating rapidly. Much of it can be clearly seen and there are many photographs, but the wreck is doing what it inevitably will, and perhaps in a generation or two there will be little left to visit.
