How do I cope with staying home for college when my friends are all moving into dorms?

I'm facing the same thing... It's hard! I'm not quite sure how to deal with it myself either... I just need to keep reminding myself how much money I'm saving and that I get my bed/room. The thing I'm most worried about is making friends. My plan is to do intramural sports, get involved with the music program or join some clubs.
OH. If you're going to a four year school, I'd suggest buying a dinning card. That way between classes you can eat with friends and meet more people. I was planning on doing that but the meal plans were too expensive for my family...
