there are clear instructions on how to do this located in both the owners manual AND on a decal in the rear compartment of the vehicle where the jack tools are located.
There is a small opening covered by a plastic trim flap in the rear deck in the tailgate area. Insert the portion of the jack handle part into this hole until it contacts the winding mechanism and then turn the handle clockwise until the cable is retracted.
