the water can be filled up by the header tank which is 1 of the main tanks under the bonnet has 3 pipes going to it 2 on the top 1 either side and a pipe at the bottom
It means low coolant. Top it up with water; and if it still leaks then maybe theres a hole in the container
Assuming you have checked the water and its topped up, could be thermostat blocked.
Towards the front of the engine bay there is a black cylinder with two thick black pipes coming out of either end. The top of this cylinder wedges out and the oild goes in there. It's a bit disguised if you don't have the peugeot books handy!
If it's the same light as on my 205 TD, then I'm assuming you mean the coolant level indicator. There is a level sensor located at the bottom of the header tank. Top it up.
Did you put the key in the egnition and turned it around
There is an expantion tank under the bonet it is situated on the blukhead this is were you top up the water there are two marks on the expantion tank a max and a minmum if it is in between this mark it is ok.
the bonnet release lever on my 1991 205 is underneath the glovebox on the side by the door, and when the bonnet pops open, there is a small catch roughly in the centre, push it up (towards the bonnet) and pull the bonnet open.
on the side of gearbox at top a remove ns wheel to see it its an 8mm hexagen shaped bolt
