5th: No person shall be held to answer unless indicted by a grand jury, cannot be tried twice for the same crime (double jeopardy), nor shall be compelled in a criminal case to be a witness against himself (self incrimination), nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall private property be taken withouth just compensation (eminent domain).
6th: Right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed.
7th: Common-law suits; the right of trial by jury shall be preserved.
8th: Cruel and unusual punishment forbidden; escessive bail or fines imposed shall not be required.
Amendment 5: Pervents double jepordy (being tried more then once after a verdict is given). Also gives you the right to "remain silent" and not answer questions that will incriminate yourself.
Amendment 6 : The right to a fair and speedy trial, they can't throw you in jail and wait five years before they give you your trial. They also can't abjust your trial because of your race, religion, or income.
Amendment 7 : Gives you the right to a trial by a jury, perventing the judge from being the single decider if you are or are not guilty of the crime you are being charged with.
