Frogs use their tongues to catch the food it eats. If you seen a frog it would be waiting for an insect to eat it then stick its tongue out and the tongue is like a vacuum and it eats the insect.

They stick their tongue out and stretch it as far as they can then they will put it in their mouth. How the tongue goes back is it curls while entering the mouth. and to eat the food it closes its eyes and lets its eyeballs drop to their moth to crush the food to swallow it.

Frogs sit and wait for insects to come within their vicinity. When that happens, they strike the insect with their long, sticky tongue. Then they pull it into the mouth and swallow it whole.

How do I make my dumpy tree frog eat?

If you think your tree frog is dumpy, you shouldn't be trying to make it eat. If your tree frog likes a certain food, put a lot of that type of food in it's food bowl and a little bit of normal food disguised in it. When it eats the treat food it will accidentally eat the normal food. Also, some frogs just aren't right for captivity and will never eat.
