Well since you tried to jailbreak it really, the only way you could get it fixed is by Apple. But since there was a jailbreak attempt, it voided your warranty so you can't get it fixed by them. Try searching 'How to unjailbreak an iPod Touch'.

I have tried this before and it has not worked for me. I think your PC speakers only work on your PC. Also I just got a new TV and I tried the PC speakers and they didn't work. Hope this helps :)

I have never tried it, so it is possible. It does provide electrical power. However it would depend on the LED.

I am having exactly the same problem. Maybe it is a fault with the speakers? Have you tried using them on another computer? If they work on the other computer you need to get new speakers. It could just be your computer which has a fault with it. thanks.

Have you tried creating a Virtual Private Network via your home computer? Basically you would be connecting to Facebook via your home computer, and to your home computer via your work computer. Since your work computer would only see you connecting to your home computer, which it wouldn't recognise as a blocked site, and since your home computer wouldn't be on the list of public proxies which are presumably also blocked, you should be able to connect.
