Depends on the snake some snakes rest in trees and some rest in water it really depends on the snake.
snakes are dumb they dont rest
Yes snakes sleep and rest - they are cold blooded reptiles therefore they need to 'sunbathe' to increase their body temperature so they can move quick enough to hunt
mostly all snakes can come out at night as in the day they rest in the sun so at night there usually more active.
Snakes, they are reptiles and all the others are mammals.
The reticule - is a clear, protective lens covering on the eyes of snakes and lizards. It is discarded with the rest of the skin when the animal sheds.
Any Time and Any Place! They usually just plop down under a rock or a pile of leaves and chill after they have eatin
The same as the rest of the GI's. The work was mostly scary; snakes, spiders, darkness, etc.
When they're hungry ! Large snakes such as boas & pythons generally eat a large meal - then rest for a few weeks to digest it.
Because once upon a time.... There where many many snakes in New Zealand. Then the humans came. They slaughtered all the snake kind. The snakes fought bravely and with valour, alas they were overpowered. There are ancient legends that state the snakes have secret holds in NewZealand and still wage war against humanity. The household snakes are believed by some to be the Imperial Snake Intelligence Corporation. So now you, you and your ancestors KILLED the snakes. IT WAS NOT FAIR. THEY DESERVED TO LIVE. You will be guilty for the rest of your life knowing that YOUR people killed them. DON'T PRETEND NOT TO KNOW THIS. >:(
Most snakes curl up when they sleep, but not all snakes. Some snakes are arboreal, which means they live in trees. They curl up on a branch to go to sleep. Most other snakes, such as ball pythons, king snakes, and rat snakes seem to like a hiding place when they rest and you will often find them curled up under a rock or log or other out of the way place. However, there are certain very large snakes (think anacondas or Burmese pythons) that just seem to lay straight out in a line. Although I am not certain, I think you would find that these snakes don't have many natural predators so they don't need to hide themselves. Even these huge snakes will try to go to an out of the way place after they have eaten a huge meal, since they are vulnerable for a couple of days right after they have eaten.
There are many different familes of snakes. Pythons, boa constrictors, rat snakes, garters, grass snakes, flying snakes, rattlers, vipers, blind snakes, asps, wart snakes, sunbeam snakes, etc.
Snakes of the subfamily Natricinae are usually regarded as water snakes.
