Otherwise, you buy the 12 ounce cans of R134a refrigerant. Turn on the engine, put the AC on max ac, let it run for a couple minutes to ensure a sufficient vacuum is pulled. Attach the can to the low side schrader valve, and, with the engine stil running, discharge the can. Do not let the refrigerant level go past the red line (although those gauges they provide aren't very reliable).
