well... First of all if you wanna catch a freshwater bass you want good bait. I recommend that you use fake soft frogs, and when you use the fake soft frogs you should always use a double hook. (unless you don't have one..) Freshwater bass usually like to hang out under lilly pads, driftwood, trees, brush, and rocks but rarely sometimes they are out in the open. I would definitely recommend you use a weight. If you don't know what kind of weight you should use, I would say you use the Mojo spectastic wiggle rig. Yup. It was made for bass fishing. But you dont have to use it. you can you use any weight you want. Soo when you cast out and you feel a pull, do not immediately start reeling the line in when the weight goes under. don't let nervousness take over. so when the weight goes down you have to wait till the bass has the bait and is swimming down. when it starts swimming down, pull and reel etc. When you pull make sure not to pull straight up, but pull sideways and you've got a big freshwater bass in your hands. If you don't know what to do with it you bleed it, then put it into an ice chest.
