if it is the new shape megane II with the funny shape rear end, open the boot. there is a wing nut thing and the top of the light unit attachin it to the body work, undo this. run your hand down the black vinyl until u find a large round circular cover on the side of the unit, remove the cover and remove the 2nd wing nut thing inside the cover. the unit is now free to be removed. stand square on to the rear of the car, facin the same direction as the car. gently pull the light straight towards you, DO NOT LIFT AND PULL, JUST PULL STRAIGHT TOWARDS YOU. this is because there are 2 pin like things which are holdin the unit into the cars body work, if u pull at an angle then these will snap off if the unit is pulled off the bodywork. once removed, there are 2 holders for lights, locate the bulb which is the brake light, and replace bulb, put light unit back on to car following the reverse of the above, ensuring it is pushed back straight not to damage the pins. replace the 2 wing nut things and recover the one with the black round plastic cover.
did you figure out how to? mine has the same problem
I own a diesel (1.9dti) Renault megane 2000 edition. I change the brake pads(front) every 15000 Miles approximately.
The brake fluid on a Renault Megane Coupe goes in the brake fluid reservoir. This can be located under the hood in the engine compartment.
It could fit a T10.
The probable cause of the brake lights not working on your Renault is the brake light switch. The brake light switch can be found under the dashboard by the foot pedal.
Brake bleeding, clutch bleeding, coolant bleeding. You need to be specific.
Jack up car, remove front wheel, remove the 2 bolts attaching the caliber to the brake mounting (helps to loosen the pads by wedging a screw driver between pads and hydraulic arm). Slide the old pads out, cover the back of new pads with copper greece and re-assemble brake.
It means dont drive your car. There would be a fault within the braking system. It could be simply a case of topping up brake fluid. Use correct grade, the megane scenic uses dot4, I assume the normal megane does too, check tho, it will be imprinted on reservoir cap. It could also be the hand brake sensor faulty. Also check your brake pads and shoes, discs/drums etc.
i need a diagram of adrum brake on a renault kangoo do u have one
this is sometimes due to a slightly low brake fluid level, sometimes happens with me when pulling away with steering applied

Brake lights remaining on in a 2003 Megane 1.4 can be an indication that there may be a bad fuse, a wiring issue, or a bad switch. Through the use of a multimeter you can troubleshoot the issue.
