How do you change the error message for required validation rule on Microsoft access 2000 I have set 'required' to yes but I can't see a way to change the error message tht appears?

To have your own message displayed when a user tries to enter data that does not meet your validation requirements in a field in Microsoft Access open the table in design view. Immediately below Validation Rule you will see 'Validation Text'. Click next to that and type in the message that you want to be displayed.
If you had made the Validation Rule >=25 you could type the following as validation text and it would appear in the message box that would appear if a figure lower than 25 was entered.
The rate per hour cannot be less than €25. Please enter a figure greater than 25.
