You will need wrenches and possibly an oil filter socket or large channel locks, and of course a drain pan. Locate the oil drain plug in the oild pan and remove it. (hot oil will come out into the drain pan at this point ) when it is finished draining (dripping) reinstall drain plug snugly. Locate and remove the filter by using either the filter wrench or the large channel locks. (make sure the old rubber ring gasket on the oil filter is in the filter still and not stuck to the engine block mating surface) install the new filter hand tight only. Add 4 qts of engine oil to the engine through the cap marked for engine oil. Start the vehicle check for leaks. Shut off the engine and check the dispstick and add oil (if needed) to bring the engine oil level up to the full mark on the stick. (checking oil must be done on a level surface) reinstall cap...Done.

The drain plug for a 2006 Chrysler Sebring is located either in the bottom of the oil pan or in the lower part of the side. Draining warm oil will make a faster and more efficient oil change.
It is located at the passenger side behind the oil pan. You need to be under the vehicle to watch it .
Depending on which engine is in the 2006 Chrysler Sebring has, the engine takes between 4.5 and 5 quarts of oil. Check the oil with the dipstick before adding all of the oil, and add more as needed. Do not overfill.
The oil pressure sensor is on the back of the engine, above the oil pan, behind a heat shield.
The type of motor oil needed for a Chrysler Sebring will depend on the model and year of the vehicle. Most of the vehicles take 5w30.
