First, as a professor, I would recommend that you be careful when citing anything that comes from an unsourced website (a site that doesn't have footnotes and bibliography). While many of the people who answer questions for WikiAnswers are very accurate and factual, some are just guessing or they give wrong or sarcastic answers. Supervisors try to correct those answers, but still, it is in your best interest to corroborate the information elsewhere before citing it.
That said, when citing WikiAnswers, you first refer to the specific question and the portion of the response you plan to quote. For example: On the website WikiAnswers, one response about Aristotle's theory of ethics said "[quote the relevant portion of the response]." You then give the name of the website and a link to it. As for your bibliography, according to Wikihow.com, the most common way to cite any web page is: 1. Firstname Lastname, "Title of Web Page," Publishing Organization or Name of Website in Italics, publication date and/or access date if available, URL. (If there is no author given, alphabetize by the first word in the title of the article.)
I wouldn't, anyone can come in and answer questions incorrectly.
WikiAnswers does not cite examples, it answers questions. This is a homework research assignment that you have been set to do yourself. WikiAnswers will not provide you with a cheats answer.
You don't have to - but it helps validate your answer if you can include a link to an external source for clarification.
WikiAnswers is not work at all! It's fun!
Wikianswers is a frequently visited site. Cite a quotation from one of Shakespeare's plays. The garbage dump was an extremely offensive sight.
For example, if you were to cite the question: What does apa formatting mean?Cite for reference page:What does apa formatting mean. (n.d.). In Answers.com, The world's leading Q&A site. Retrieved October 23, 2009, fromWhat_does_apa_formatting_meanIn text, after you write your information, cite by ("What does apa formatting mean", n.d.)
