# while pressing down on valve handle, turn it from the FILTER to the BACKWASH position # start the pump # usually there is a clear bubble on or near the multiport valve. it shows the condition of the water. at first the water in it will look dirty when it clears up, turn of the pump.

# Turn multiport valve handle to RINSE and Run it rinse for about 30 seconds seconds. # Turn off the pump then move the multiport valve handle to FILTER position # Turn pump back on and note lower pressure. ----
