- If one of your dogs is getting older, try to convince your parents that if it died it would be easier for your other dog if it had another companion.
- Also show reponsibility by walking your other dogs, playing with them and maybe teaching one or both of them a new trick. This should show your parents that you still love your other dogs and you are ready for a new one.
- Also maybe raise some money to help pay. Or say this could be your Christmas or Birthday prestent. Or maybe even both. :)

This depends on your parents, and to a very large extent on how well you have been taking care of your dogs. Are you the one who walks them and feeds them, or is Mom doing that? If the dog needs a bath, who does that? Your parents will look at how you have been handling the animals you already have in order to figure out whether you are likely able to take care of another.
