Yes that's true i finally figured a way to kill those anoying daytime running lights, without doing any of those tricks that are going around,. Since nobody has ever given me a good way to permanently kill them i had to get complete wiring diagrams for all te lights from ALLDATA. These diagrams are a lot more detailed than the ones you get from the manuals.
Ok, First you have to locate your DRL module, behind the radio. there will be a lot of wire coming out of it. But we are only going to be concerned with two.
NOTE: we will not be removing this module from the vehicle due to the fact that the cars equipped with stock fog lights need this so they would still be able to work.
The two wires you need to be focusing on are the ones attached to te photoresistor. One Will Be GREEN/BLACK, the other will be YELLOW/BLACK.
You will need to cut the YELLOW/BLACK wire leaving about 3 inches conected to the module. So you have some room to work with.
Then you will need to use a jumper connection, jump the YELLOW/BLACK wire to the GREEN/BLACK wire.
now your daytime running lights should be permanemtly off. If not contact me with your style beretta and i will figure it out.
Basic principle on why this works:
your drl's work off the photoresistor (the component that detects the level of light, centered on your dash under the metal strip). this component is normally closed, (power running through it) when there is a low level of light out, either cloud cover or night time this unit opens up (no power running through it), that's why if you cut that YELLOW/BLACK wire they will permanently stay on. that is why you will need to jump it to the GREEN/BLACK wire so that there is constant power running through it. (always closed) with constant power the photoreststor cannot open up and turn on the DRL's.
You may also be able to cut both wires and splice them, but i only wanted to cut one in case i was wrong, but it worked so I'm really not worried about going back in there just to cut another wire to splice them
on the emergancy brake lever there is an electrical switch, just unplug it they will go off and your fog lights will still work.
To disable the running lights either unplug the relay to the fuse box. Also there is a fuse for this in the fuse box remove this and that will disable the lights.
Remove the fuse.
Press a button.

To disable the daytime running lights on a 2008 Sequoia, turn the head light switch to the center position. It should show two headlights, one with an 'X' and a line between the two.
Hit 'em with a big hammer
press your ebrake one or two clicks and leave it on
Cheapest returnable answer is to remove the bulbs
