How do you prepear anchoring at college function?

Take a deep breath and enter the stage with a simple smile.

Be Confident , have an eye-contact with few people that is enough.

If you are too scared then look into script and read out loud!

Smile - Mandatory :P :P

Loose your body and try to move freely and ENJOY the program!

If you did a mistake don't stop the script continue without giving gaps. ( Thats what I do when I say something wrong)

Try practicing a lot.

Read a lot. :)

Practice in front of a mirror or a friend.

Engage in social activities.

Grab every opportunity that comes your way to gain experience as well.

Join workshops.

To host it well, you should know everything that would be going on around the show.

So in case you don't have a handy guide, you still know what to say infront of the audience.

Eye contact with audience.

Clear and proper pronunciation of words.

You should look smart and confident (you should know how to carry yourself..good body posture, presentable look, etc.)

Have a lively interaction with the audience. Ask them questions like are they enjoying or are they getting bored..

Have punchlines. :)

Louden your voice (but not too loud, simply do not utter words like murmuring it or someting like that.)

..and SMILE. :)
