How do you graffiti?

You just do it. You can identify yourself with a style, which is what makes this artform so amazing. Everyone who does it brings something new to it. If you are going out to tag, make sure you don't work somebody else's neighborhood. It's disrespectful. Do not tag over a tag. Also, you don't just start tagging if you're not fast or creative enough. Practice at home on cardboard and get to know what you can do with a can. As for the person who answered this question the first time, it would be to your credit to give advice rather than try and diminish the strength of the person brave enough to ask it. For all we know, this question could have come from a 9 year old kid just wanting to learn. Teaching is a gift and it sounds like you have the knowledge. Share it. Google graffiti artists and see their different styles and have some inspiration, and look at a guy called Banksy, he is one of the, if not the, most famous and skilled graffiti artist in the world.

Use chalk pastels on paper. Maybe start out in pencil first. I assure you funky letters and your opinion/idea will make good graffiti art. I don't use it for vandalism, I use graffiti as art since I'm learning how to make graffiti art in school/art class. YouTube.com will tell you more about it.

First you have to find a graffiti name. Most of the names have 4 letters. When you have carefully chosen a name you get a paper and start drawing those letters how you want. Buy cans, Montana if possible and try to graffiti in the wall what you have drawn in the paper. First you trace the sketch in the wall with the colour that you are going to fill the piece with. When you have the trace, fill in the piece. Once filled trace the piece with another colour. Then you can add a power to it, bordering the piece with a shiny colour. When you have finished the piece add a tag next to it with your name. That's basically how you do graffiti. There are many types of graffiti a part from pieces like bombing, tagging... which are faster than doing a piece.
