How do you explain to a dad that being a wiccan doesn't mean you worship Satan they are catholic?

Roman Catholic Answer: You don't. It may look innocent to you, but wiccan is actually a nature worship religion that actually, according to the Catholic view of things, isworship of demons. When Adam and Eve fell, they handed over the government of this world to the demons (i.e. Satan). Even Jesus, Himself, supported this view, when Satan, in The Bible, at the temptation, said that all these things were his and he would hand them over to Jesus if He would bow down and worship him: Jesus did not disagree with him or correct him. He just told Satan to be gone. So, no matter how innocent it may look, you are actually playing with fire. Satan's biggest and most successful lie, through the ages has been that he does not exist. That you can just do this or that without getting hurt. It is a lie, it is not reality. I would recommend that you not argue with your dad about this, but talk to a Catholic priest to try to understand what forces you are actually playing with.

It depends on your parent's concern about religion, your relation with them and your age. What you want to do is avoid coming across as a mouthy brat who wants to get a spiderman mask tattooed across his face - and then after he gets it, decides he doesn't want it and the parent has to pick up the pieces.

If dad is the fire and brimstone sort of Catholic who won't accept your position or choice you may wish to fly below the radar for a while. Unless shock and awe is your style. This has problems. If you are not of an age that lets you move out if dad responds with an ultimatum, you might want to be a bit circumspect. Along with being in a house where you're being nagged at because of your "mistakes" you may find yourself enrolled in a third party program to "educate" you back into the fold.

If you are of age and don't care if dad continues to support you you might want to simply speak up and move on (if necessary)

If your parent is reasonable, and you've demonstrated in the past that you think things through to arrive at your own conclusions engage them in an adult to adult conversation. He may be more or less comfortable with you spreading your wings and may try to persuade you to come on back, but all in all things should be livable.
