I hope this is what you're looking for. I have a 1970 Boss 302 and encountered the same problem. Most of the car history reports services only go back to 1980 making our cars too old to find a history report on. You won't be able to get service history or accident reports on it unless you know the previous owner, but I know where you can get a very thorough report on exactly how your car came from the factory. go to MartiAutoWorks.com They own the rights to Ford's records on the old mustangs. If you're looking to find out if your numbers match, this is the place to go. They charge a moderate fee, but it's worth it if you want to have a numbers matching show car. They tell you all options your car came with and they even tell you the date it came off the line and whether or not it was made behind schedule. The report comes with a Ford logo on it, so you know it's accurate. (Just a side note, the factory containing all the Vintage Mustang Records burned to the ground, so that's why you can't get past 1980) Use vintage Mustang decoder. Works fine for my 64 1/2.

The eight digit of your serial number
A 75 hp Mercury outboard, serial number OB9655687, I can not find on the serial number chart. One thing I see, is a seven digit serial number, with a OB prefix. The seven digit serial numbers, ( prior to 1985 ), had no prefix. Serial numbers with the prefix, ( OA,OB,OC, ect. ), have six digit serial numbers. Could there be an error in the serial number posted?
