How do you get admin rights?

Every computer has a local admin, you just need to set it up. Right click on your start button and hit "Computer Management" from there go to "Users and Groups" then right click "Administrator" and hit "Set password". You can then log out and log in as admin there.

If that does not work here is the second way. Login to an account you wish to give admin powers to. Go to your control panel and select on "Users". You can then click "Change user permissions" from here you can select if you want your account to be a "Standard User" or "Administrator".

Start->Control Panle->User Acounts->Your User Name->Change me account type I tried that it won't let me change because I'm not administrator it says I'm just a guest so I can't change anything Please help

for windows xp, first you have to log on as an administrator. there should be

a default administrator account. log on as that, than go to start, control

panel, User Accounts, change an account. then select your account and go to

change account type. select administrator, then click change account. now

you can log back on to your account and you will be an administrator.

How to log on to system as administrator

If you use windows xp, sign out current account,

On the sign window, press alt+ctrl+del button twice.

Then the login window will be showing up, input the following information:

User: administrator

Password: the administrator password, possible null, (just press enter)
