To combat boredom, try engaging in activities you enjoy such as hobbies, exercise, reading, or trying something new. Stay connected with friends and family for social interaction, or challenge yourself with puzzles or games to keep your mind occupied. Find ways to be creative and set goals to keep yourself motivated and invested in your activities.

There are many solutions. However, as a philosopher I would suggest that you ask the question 'WHY?'

Find a random thing or activity and ask why is this here or why would somebody do that. And then try to answer that why-question. When you have come up with a proper answer then ask 'why?' on that very answer.

It will be almost endless string. And it will open your mind. You will start thinking and understanding how you regard this world.

And here is a tip: do not use simple answers (like "it just is so")

There are many entertainments available which can enable you to avoid boredom. There are amusing web-sites (I am fond of YouTube), amusing TV programs, amusing books, movies, Video Games, musical recordings, and even amusing people whom you can meet and do things with. You might enjoy sports such as skiing, swimming, tennis, etc. Try lots of things and find out which are the most entertaining. But do not seek dangerous, self-destructive entertainments such as recreational drugs; in the long run those entertainments carry too heavy a cost.
