Athena will tell you to ask him, and you'll say he won't, but she"ll tell you to ask him again. THis time he will help you. You have to move the boulder down in Hades fortress with him first, though. And then use that mirror you have to teleport back to the Gates of Mount Olympus. Hercules should help you open the gates if you click on them. Madusa will be there waiting for you, and Hercules will get turned to stone. You won't need him after that, though.
