When it comes to the kids room the bed is usually sacred. That is a place they want to keep clean. That is why you put the trash in their room along with the vacuum cleaner in their bed. This has been tried and worked liked a charm. Make each member responsible for one area. If they don't take care of it they will get no allowance/take something away/not allowed to go wherever etc. That is of course tougher with the spouse but he/she should be able to talk to if you really tell them how tired you are. Make a list of everything you do and let them do it to see how it is. That list can then be used to let them X what they choose to do from now on (or a weekly schedule). If they really don't give a damn go on strike. Only cook for you or eat out and only wash your clothes etc.
