It's so obvious that deep tan skin looks so much better than pale white skin. There are alot of ways someone can get tan whether it's through sunshine, through tanning beds, or through sunless tanning lotions and sprays. The best way to tan, however, is all up to you.

If you want the safest and fastest way to get a tan, sunless tanning lotions and sprays are your answer. After all, who wants wrinkles by the age of 30? You may think that tanning lotions or sprays make an uneven, unnatural-looking, orange tan. However, now that it has been around for so long, companies are FINALLY making them the right way, producing a natural-looking, even, orange-free tan. (Not all companies though) The secret to self-tanners is dihydroxyacetone, otherwise known as DHA. DHA is a type of sugar that breaks down amino acids in the top layer of your skin to produce meladoin, which is that tan color. It's FDA approved, so it's safe. (No worries) Just be very careful with self-tanners. One simple mistake could potentially ruin your tan. Here are a few tips to self tan: first exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin, then moisturize your face, hands, feet, knees, and elbows. To self-tan your back, use a poly brush. We recommend using Banana Boat Deep/Dark Summer Color self-tanning lotion. For any more information on how to self-tan, or the top 10 self-tanners of 2013, go to selftanning.com

If you want to get the a really dark tan (but this can only be done unsafely) is to get in the tanning bed. Now remember: this is the most unsafe way to tan and causes wrinkles and skin cancer. Also, keep in mind that in some states in America, it's against the law to get in the tanning bed if you are under the age of 18. Infact, the tanning bed is right up there with smoking as to having to do with the risks. And, you know they already claim the sun is bad (which I think they just say that to sell sunblock), but the tanning bed is (supposedly) 74% worse than the effects of the sun. Now that you know the risks, if you want to do it anyway just for a darker skin color, okay then. Use a tingle lotion with bronzer to increase your tan fast. (And it will make your burn!) Don't forget that these make everything more risky though...they use ingredients that make your blood flow to your skin and make you get dark by your skin trying to heal itself. Do this at your own risk.

Last, (and obviously not least), the sunshine. Use a tanning oil with bronzer (and maybe some SPF) to help you tan faster
