Video downloaded from YouTube (and other video sites) are usually in .mp4 format, which is NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows Movie Maker.
You will need to convert the downloaded YouTube video to one of the formats listed below before it can be imported/edited in the program:
.asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
Unfortunately, you can't create Effects for the Audio/Music in Windows Movie Maker. You can adjust the audio volume levels, fades, muting, etc. But, there isn't much else you can do with it unless you've downloaded plug-ins/add-ons for audio manipulation.
You can't do that on Windows Live Movie Maker, but you can extract the audio from a video in Windows Movie Maker v2.6 and save/publish it as an audio file.
No. Can't do that with Windows Live Movie Maker (2010 version at least. I am not sure about the 2011 version since I haven't downloaded it yet). In any case, you have to do your narrations on the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker or on an external audio editor before you can import/use it in Windows Live Movie Maker.
Movie Maker is a Windows product and can be downloaded from windows.microsoft.com. A video demonstration is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNHdcEmLuKo. I look forward to seeing your productions on YouTube!
Use Windows Movie Maker
No. You can't use Windows DVD Maker to upload videos with. But you can upload videos to YouTube using Windows Live Movie Maker.
Speeds faster than 1x does not support audio in Windows Movie Maker.
No. There is only one audio track to work with in Windows Movie Maker. You can drag an audio backwards on the time-line to overlap the music... but it may not sound the way it would if it were on two different tracks. Perhaps you can try to use a streaming audio recorder to record audio on windows movie maker.
You need to have a YouTube Download/Conversion Tool before you can download anything from the site. Google: YouTube Downloader. Choose one and install it. Read the instructions on how to download from the site.Once you have the media downloaded, as long as it is in a format compatible with Windows Movie Maker, all you have to do is import it into the program for use/editing.
You can't do that with audio on Windows Movie Maker. The application is very basic with limited features/functions. Masking is not a feature that is included.
First you have to mute the video's audio in Windows Movie Maker. Once the audio portion of the Video is muted, you can import and drop the desired audio you want to use into the Audio/Music track.
Windows Movie Maker projects must be Published/Finished before they are converted to a Standard format used by YouTube.
