No, surprisingly and disappointingly it does not you would need to download a 4.3 restore or higher to your iphone 3g and download it afterwards but at least textfree still works.

Apparently u can't do it for now... Hopefully they will fix that for some privacy purposes... The only way to sign out for now is to uninstall ur app and reinstall it... So when u open it again... Textfree recognize u and ask for ur password to sign in... Very annoying to have to do that all the time ...
