First make sure the bulbs are good. Next, check the brake lite switch on the brake pedal. It might have a bad contact or just be broken. If the switch is good, and do all the other lites work ? If not, but anyway, check all the fuses. I hope this covers it, but if all that fails, check on the passenger side, in the trunk, rear panel, pull back the cover and there you will find a wire plug in for the lites, sometimes the contact is bad and just have to clean this. I hope it is one of these things, or else it could be a short in the wire, but if all the other lites do work, most likely what i mentioned. Good luck.
