Well, there are a variety of ways, but the most used is prayer. You should purify the room by adding plants (life), and more light. If you really want to get into it, then you can invoke protective angels (if you know how. . .), but that takes major amounts of energy to sustain.
Do that which is only good. Be in the world but not of it. See that you do all things to the glory of God. Be not worldly in your thoughts and actions, but seek to do that which is pleasing to the Lord. Keep yourself unspotted from the world, and seek after good and wholesome things.
Keep your thoughts clean, let people see your good works but do not boast of them. Keep all of the commandments, and give glory to your God only, and only Him will you serve.
The evil one cannot enter into a clean and wholesome body.
