alright there is this thing called an OBDII scanner your local autozone should have one, and if your check engine light is on a code will come up in the scanner and they should be able to tell you what exactly is wrong with your truck. good luck
Check your sway bar links. I just had to have these replaced on my 2004 Tracker.
The alternator may be going bad.
You start by identifying what's wrong with it. Chances are, it's going to be something you'll simply replace.
Had the same problem car worked parked i nothing, sat for a month then the day it got towed away i picked it up.. Everyone said starter, cylinoid, security etc. It was a broken wire going from computer to computer!
The EGR valve on a 2001 V6 Tracker in on the center rear of the intake manifold plenum chamber, on the underside. You will see a tube from the right bank (bank 1) Catalyst going up and to the intake.
Could be torque converter going bad or cylinoid in a certain gear is burning up and going bad.
low oil pressure if you have a guage instead of a light and usually accompanied by valves ticking showing the need for more oil.
yes its because the tracker weighs almost 3000lbs but not quite that much, the solution to not rolling your tracker over, is SLOW DOWN. its not the steering your truck is just too light and you can lift it off the ground going too fast. trust me i know from experience.
You can try a junk yard or the Chevy parts house. It may be a special order part in which case it'll take a couple of days for the Chevy dealer to get it. Try a junk yard first, call before going on a treasure hunt.
