This is going to sound very stereotypical so sorry : ) for the record I like Goth kids, they're much nicer than those preppy kids. Ok so if ur friend is getting a lot of new tattoos, wears exclusively black clothes and makeup, foundation 9 shades too pale, and spends more than 3 hours a day in a graveyard, he or she just might be a Goth. If they are, make sure you stay friends with them. Goths make good friends.

Reasons could be faith, boredom, style, interests, friends, etc. The only way to know why people are goth is to ask them individually, as neither goth nor reasons for being goth can be generalised and used in terms of all those involved. also and for me to hide somthin huge embaressing or to hide in the shadows
