All you do is tell the people that you got the wifi from that you want to put lock on your wifi. They'll do it for you :)
To turn off wifi on an iPod Touch you tap Settings --> wifi --> turn slider to "off"
Set a password.
If you want WiFi, either buy it yourself or go to Starbucks. If you see a WiFi network that has a lock on it, that means the person who owns the WiFi 1) is the only one who can tell you the password and 2) does not want you using his/her WiFi.
My parent closes the wifi, not by simply plugging the cable out, but by using the actual wifi site which he has put a lock for and lock the wifi in a situation we cannot open it unless we ask him, most people don't believe me that it happens and call it excuses and it is quite annoying.
To lock your wifi on a windows laptop, a simple way is to press 'Windows' button + 'L'.
try and open up and app that requires internet connection a list will appear asking you to select a wifi connection if there is a little lock icon then you need the password to use that wifi connection if theree isn't a lock icon next to the name of the internet connection then just select it.
It probably means you aren't connected with the wifi or the school has a lock on their wifi
No such thing as free wifi. Someone is paying for it right? Anyways, just find a wifi signal without security. If your lucky your neighbor didn't lock up their wifi.
You need wifi some people lock theres so you cant use it. But its diffrent everywhere
Go to settings -> Go to Wi-Fi ->Wait for it to search, then chose one that has no lock, or one you know that has a password you know. Your done!
Bluetooth, WiFi, and remote-lock car keys do that.
Go to a WiFi hotspot. Open your Settings (on iTouch). Open "Wi-Fi" (it should be the first one on the list). Choose Network: pick an available network. If it has a lock symbol next to it, then you have to know and type in the password. Once on is available, you select it by touching it. YOU HAVE WIFI!!! To get out of that network, select a different one or move out of range of the Wi-Fi.
