you have to buy a designed tip for an icing stick and then you need to make slight ovalish or circle patterns but it depend on what kind of flower u want to make but still if your not into making them you can but an edible flower from stores like Walmart or Target they are pretty and it saves you time but you can also make some out of sugar paper but you need skills because its very hard and you need patience because they brake easily while you're trying to mold them

I don't know much about making desserts or cakes and so on, but from watching Food Network alot, I know that FONDANT is the easiest edible material to use to make 3D edible roses and flowers. It is also easily coloured with food colouring.
