NIGHT BEFORE THE EXAM : Keep a few pens of different shapes, thicknesses and types ready. During the examination, simply by changing pens, you can ease the pressure of the pen on your fingers and thumb while you are writing. Also keep rulers, rubber, pencil, and other instruments and all your personal items which you will require in the morning ready at one place. You do not want to go searching for the same in the morning when the time at your disposal is very limited. ON THE DAY OF THE EXAM Make sure that you are awake quite early. Otherwise, you will have to rush even small daily routines and that will irritate you and cause you panic . Try to devote one or two hours to revision [ just go over main points because it is too late to learn anything fresh] and some time for dressing up. Have light and leisurely breakfast , taking as much time as you wish . Even if the examinations regulations do not require it , wear a formal dress i.e. the dress which you will wear when you go on an important assignment This will send proper signals to your mind. Get ready , duly breakfasted, at least half an hour before the time you plan to depart from your place . Make it a point to read at least a front page headlines of the newspaper { for exam postponement , processions that may hold up the traffic on a particular road, etc..} ULTIMATE TOOLS FOR YOUR EXAM: Before you step out of your place , check whether you are carrying all the following things : # Your wallet [ also make sure it has proper money , including some loose change in it ] . # Sufficient number of pens [ cross check that they are all working ] # Other instruments like Geometry Box, Calculator, Pencil, Eraser, etc. as you may require. # Your Roll Number in Original , including Complete Postal Address of the Examination Centre . # Remember the Exact name of the Paper you are going to appear , and its Code, if any. # Unless the distance is walkable, set out from your place sufficiently in advance so as to reach the examinations Center at least 45 minutes before the start of the Examination . This will take care of the Vehicle break down, bus / train delays or some other unexpected events . While on the way, Concentrate on the World around you rather than on the Exam . AT THE EXAM CENTER Look for your Room and Seat and Settle at the allotted place as quickly as possible . Familarise yourself with a new surroundings. If you do not want to talk to anyone , keep busy : try to guess the seating capacity of the room, how many fans are there, what is the lighting arrangement , etc.. If you want to , chat with other examinees and tell them a small joke if you can come up with any. This will ease the atmosphere . However, do not engage in Conversation with People who are discussing possible Questions etc. In fact, make sure you avoid all exam related discussions . Look under and around your seat for any extra material , notes etc so that you are not later accused using unfair means . ON RECEIPT OF THE ANSWER SHEETCheck the instructions before you write anything on the answer sheet. Write your roll number and other details only at the permitted place and nowhere else . With the scale, mark 1.5 inch or 2 inch margin each on the left and the right side of each page. Alternatively you can fold the answer sheet appropriately , to make a crease mark at such margins .
