have more sex Extinction is the rule rather than the exception, and especially with higher mammals, which are more vunerable to changes in the environment. Where a species is threatened due to human activity, we have an obligation to save it, or at least try. It may involve restoring its native habitat and protecting it, and perhaps setting up wildlife corridors - narrow strips of replanted native vegatation between cleared areas such as farms, to allow movement. It may involve trapping or baiting of feral predators, or trapping the endangered animal and moving a breeding population to an area free of predators, such as an island, as is being done with New Zealand's flightless parrot, the Kakapo. Captive breeding programs are used when numbers become critically small, but by then the gene pool is so diminished that it's only a matter of time. The biggest single thing man can do to stop extinction is to stop deforestation. The rainforest alone (the half that remains) supports three quarters of the worlds remaining species. Cutting our CO2 emmisions is also vital. We are vacuum cleaning and polluting our oceans at an accelarating rate, because the world's population has tripled since WWII, and around a quarter of the world's people rely on fish as their primary source of protein. More fish farming is one solution.

It can't, with time all species become extinct and are replaced by new species, this is called evolution.

However man is causing many many species to become extinct very very quickly and this is not a good thing for man!. This we are causing and this we need to prevent, by modifying our behavior and protecting parts of the environment form the effects of out actions.
We could prevents extinction tby being more friendlyt towards habitats.

not polluting as much could be a big help :) x

If enough animals become extinct, the food chain will break and we will be next! Every animal has a part to play in the ecosystem, and removing certain species can cause terrible effects.

To protect animals we could do the following:

1. Stop hunting and poaching

2. Stop fishing all the fish out of the sea

3. Start eating less meat.

4. Build sanctuaries for certain species like Boulder's Beach in Cape Town, South Africa, for the Jackass penguin. This penguin has now become an endangered species.

You can't. Extinction eventually happens to all species from dinosaurs to us. What most people want is to slow the extinction of species that are cute or which they like. The removal of smallpox bacteria, or the malarial mosquito does not seem to trouble anyone.

Stop consuming meat, dairy, and eggs. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of species extinction. In addition to the tremendous habitat destruction caused by clearing forests for animal grazing and to grow feed crops, predators and “competition” species are often hunted because of a perceived threat to industry profits. The use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers in the production of feed crops interferes with the reproductive systems of animals and poisons waterways. The over-exploitation of wild species through commercial fishing and the “bushmeat” trade, along with animal agriculture’s significant contribution to climate change, all contribute to global extinction of more species than any other cause.
