yes rugby league is played in and around the city of cape town. it is also played at junior level, from under 9 years old, it is open to all the communities and schools in the cape, incidently cape town are undefeated at senior level by any south African opposition, and have only ever been beaten on one occasion, by north sydney bears in 1993 by a score of 48 pts to 6. the game there, is run entirely on a self supporting and autonomous basis, and has, for unknown reasons, been completey ignored by the UK Australian and other world rugby league governing bodies, who refuse to recognise cape town RL, the provincial side are known as the cape cobras, and over the years have produced jamie bloem, Jacob steemag, bradley green, and marius swartz. they are coached by yorkshireman 'big' martin Birmingham and have been since 1991, Birmingham is also the regional development officer, the potential of RL in the cape is considered to be massive by even the SARU.
the main responsibility for each netball player is to work as a team. Like the goal keeper has to block the goals from the opposing team and the goal shooter has to have a good aim and be sneaky to get a goal! hope this answers your question!! :)

What makes Cape Horn so dangerous is the water depth. The average depths of the Drake Passage are 2500 to 4000 metres, until you get within 100 miles of the Cape. Then it comes up sharply to a shelf of less than 100 metres deep. Waves crossing the Southern Ocean have nothing to affect their path as they surge relentlessly around the earth until they squeeze around Tasmania, or squeeze through the Drake Passage. When the underwater mass of a wave hits this shelf near Cape Horn it causes the waves to steepen, and shorten the gaps between them. You can feel the change in wave action miles out from the shelf.
A cape is a kind of headland jutting into the sea, similar to a peninsula, although often smaller. Cape Town south Africa is located on a cape called Cape Peninsula, so the name Cape Town basically means the main town on the cape.
The start of spring in South Africa is September to November.
Cape Town was first developed by the Dutch East India Company in 1652. The Africaans name was Kaapstad. Britain captured Cape Town in 1795. The centre of town is located at the northern end of the Cape Peninsula, hence the derevation of the name.

In Africa, good roads are scarce, and a trip of this nature should not be undertaken in a motorised vehicle. Not even the toughest 4x4 will survive.
The trip is best undertaken by oxwagon and should take approximately one and a half to three months to cover the 1800kms, depending on the number of ox fatalities and consequent reduction in speed,
