How do you program your keyless entry remote for a 2002 altima?

I recently bought a used remote for my 2001 Nissan Altima. So maybe this programming will work for your 2002.

Get in the car and close the door with the ignition key and remote.

Fully insert and fully remove the ignition key into the steering column at least 7 times. You have to do this within 10 seconds. It took me a few tries cause you can't go too fast or too slow. You'll know when you get it right when the hazard flashers blink twice- when they do- turn the ignition key to the on (but not start) position- and then push any button on the remote. This programs the remote to the car.

That's it- you're done- if you did it right all you have to do now is open the car door to exit the programming mode.
