Start with yourself. Focus on what has gone right in your day. You will be surprised how little has gone wrong in spite of how you feel. Teach those you want to share with to remember something that tasted good, that the sun was shining and relieved some stresses, you read a great book. Find what works for you. For me, hearing my favorite band EVERY DAY makes a world of difference. WRITE THESE DOWN. I got through a rough patch by writing down what went right, even if it was just that I got up and didn't feel arthritic. :D Smile!!!!! LOTS. IF you smile it sometimes changes things just because you used those muscles. Give it a shot... Let me know what you find that I havent thought about. ALSO - don't dwell on things that have already happened. YOU CANNOT change the past. Accept it and hope the future will not care or will help make it a learning experience.

  • Make a decision - decide that you WILL have a positive approach and you're more likely to succeed
  • Count your blessings - periodically during the day, list everything good that you have or that has happened that day - even if it's something as small as "my coffee was nice and hot this morning" - that helps you to start noticing good things instead of bad ones
  • Reframe - try to find something good in everything that happens, even if it's mostly bad - if you get a bad grade, say "at least I have the chance to improve now!"
  • Be mindful - pay attention to the world around you and be aware of all that's going on - there's a lot of positive attitude in just being there in the moment
